The textured crop, explained

The most asked-for cut in the shop this year, and the one that needs the least from you.

Client with a textured crop

If you have walked down Laugavegur this summer you have seen it: short on the sides, a few centimetres on top pushed forward, with a short, choppy fringe. It is the cut we do most, and for good reason.

Why it works

The texture is cut in, not styled in. We point-cut the top so the hair breaks up on its own, which means it looks deliberate even when you have just rolled out of bed.

Who it suits

Almost everyone with straight or slightly wavy hair. It is especially kind to thick hair, which it thins out without looking thin, and to hairlines that are starting to move back.

Keeping it

Every four weeks. A small amount of matte paste or sea salt spray on dry hair if you want more shape, or nothing at all if you do not.
