We collect as little as we can, only to run the shop, and we never sell it. This page explains what we keep and why.
What we collect
- When you book: your name, phone number, the service, the barber and the time. Anything you add in the note field.
- When you write to us: your name, email address and message.
- When you become a member: your name, contact details and payment details, which are handled by our payment provider and never stored by us.
- When you buy a gift card: the buyer’s email address and the card’s balance.
Why we use it
To confirm, remind you about and manage your bookings. To answer your messages. To bill memberships and track gift card balances. We only send marketing if you have asked us to, and you can stop it at any time.
Who we share it with
Only the services we need to run the shop: our booking system, our payment provider and our email provider. Each of them processes your data on our behalf and under our instructions.
How long we keep it
Booking history is kept for two years after your last visit, so your barber can see what they did last time. Messages are deleted after a year. Payment records are kept as long as Icelandic law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it or have it deleted. You also have the right to complain to Persónuvernd, the Icelandic Data Protection Authority.
Contact
For anything about your data, write to us and choose “Something else” as the topic.
